The Album Twinsman is the reference performance twin-fin — as close to a thruster feel as a twin will ever get, with the drive and speed of Album's twin-fin heritage. Josh Kerr spent a month in Indo and "couldn't get off it", and it has become the most-reviewed twin-fin in the boutique surfboard space.

The Twinsman is Matt Parker's answer to "can a twin-fin do everything?" — the outline runs a wing into a rounded pin, and the deck has enough concave to keep the board glued through mid-face turns.

Ride it a couple of inches longer than your fish and 1–3 litres more than your standard shortboard. Most 80 kg surfers land on the 5'10 (32.6 L).

Dark Arts Kevlar and Varial constructions are the reviewer favourites for durability. PU is the traditional feel at a slightly lower price.

Pros & cons
  • As close to a thruster feel as any twin-fin on the market
  • Slight concave deck, foam pushed to the perimeter — generates speed effortlessly
  • Reviewed favourably by Cleanline Surf, Stoked For Travel, Blink Surf, Empire Ave, Surf Splendor
  • Josh Kerr / Asher Pacey endorsed — proven at Indo reef breaks and beachbreaks alike
  • Wing + rounded pin sits between a fish and a shortboard — takes a session to click if you're coming from a keel-fin fish
  • Stock drops sell out fast; second-hand market runs hot
  • Premium price vs mass-produced twin-fins

How it surfs

Cleanline Surf's Twinsman review calls it "one of Album's flagship models" and the twin they recommend to a thruster-first surfer wanting to try the category.

Blink Surf, Stoked For Travel, Empire Ave and Surf Splendor all published detailed reviews. The consensus: as close to a thruster feel as any twin-fin on the market, with Josh Kerr and Asher Pacey both riding it as an everyday board.
