The Pyzel Precious is Pyzel's answer to the one-board-quiver. Positioned by the brand as "one board to rule them all", it takes the Ghost outline and softens the rocker, widens the nose and thickens the rails so a single board covers ankle-high to overhead.

The Precious is the widest-wave-range board in the Pyzel line. Where the Phantom is a step-down and the Ghost is a step-up, the Precious is designed as the one board a traveler can bring on a trip and ride every day of it.

Extra foam under the chest and a flatter entry rocker make it paddle like a mid-length; the pulled-in tail keeps it turning like a shortboard when the surf gets clean.

Pros & cons
  • Genuine one-board-quiver — the widest wave range in the Pyzel line
  • Paddles like a mini-Malibu, turns like a shortboard
  • Forgiving enough for progressing intermediates
  • Newer release — coverage is editorial (The Inertia x2, Down The Line, Ocean Magic), not yet retailer buyer-verified
  • Not the sharpest shortboard when the surf gets clean and overhead — reach for the Ghost or Shadow then

How it surfs

Aggregate below is built from three editorial reviews (two by The Inertia's senior editor Alexander Haro, one by Down The Line Surf's UK product team), normalized to a /5 based on each reviewer's own stated verdict.

Consensus: designed by Jon Pyzel as a one-board-quiver with Jai Glindeman input — step-railed, concave-decked, wave-catching but with real high-performance response when the surf turns on.

Ride it 2–4 litres above your standard shortboard volume — the extra foam is the point of the board.
