How it surfs
For proning and pumping, the review is emphatic — "the 1201's pumping ability is absolutely ridiculous", with a tester clearing 200 to 300 m on admittedly mediocre technique. The wide span helps hold direction, and off-centre body movement is forgiving and easy to correct.
There are trade-offs. Winging in genuinely marginal conditions still favours the PNG 1300, which lifts earlier; the 1201 needs "a smidgen more wind" but rewards it with much higher speed and far shorter turning radii once flying. AXIS's Advanced fuselage is described as an absolute must, so budget for it if you are not already on one.

Verdict
The ART PRO 1201 is the wing to buy if glide and pumping matter most. Independent testing calls it a significant upgrade over the original ART on lift, stall behaviour, breach recovery and turn initiation — provided you run it on the Advanced fuselage.
