Ocean & Earth is an Australian brand that has been making leashes since the 1970s, and the One-XT is where it puts its own strongest-leash claim. That claim is a manufacturer statement, not a tested result, and no independent publication has published a numeric score for this model.
The detachable rail saver is the feature that justifies the price over a season or two. On a conventional leash, a shredded rail saver retires the whole leash. Here it is a part.
If you snap or wear out leashes regularly, or you surf reef and rock setups where a leash failure is more than an inconvenience, the extra spend is easy to justify. If you mostly surf small beach breaks, a lighter comp leash gives you less drag for less money.

Verdict
A leash built around the two parts that actually fail, with a detachable rail saver that makes it cheaper to keep alive than a conventional premium leash. The trade is drag and price, and no independent test score exists yet.
